  • Managing Woodlands for Woodfuel

    Very popular in the past, this Managing Woodlands for Woodfuel course is aimed at owners and managers of woodland, estate and farm foresters, and those looking to use their natural resources to produce and supply woodfuel.  This course will cover uses for your wood, measuring quantity and quality of timber, woodlands management, harvesting and extraction and conversion of timber to product.

    Cost: £35+vat (with LandSkills funding)/£100+vat (without LandSkills funding)

  • Woodland Archaeology

    Presented by an established expert in the field of woodland archaeology, John Morris of the Chiltern Woodland Project, and local forester Brian Walker, this course is split and includes a brief classroom based theory session followed by site visits to various locations to look at the practical field identification of features and discuss how to best manage the woodlands to protect and conserve them.

  • Ignite: Woodfuel Production and Supply

    This three day "original" course consists of four modules and a mix of classroom theory and outdoor site visits.  Over the three days of the course we will cover:

    • The Woodland Resource
    • Woodfuel Systems
    • Woodfuel Technology
