Ignite – The Woodfuel Supply Chain

This 3 day Lantra certified woodfuel supply chain course provides knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of wood fuel production and supply.  It is suitable for anyone interested in becoming a woodfuel supplier or getting a better knowledge of processing technologies, biomass boiler systems and markets.  For full course content click here

Training will be delivered by Rural Development Initiatives Ltd and Kevin Lindegaard of Crops for Energy.  Kevin was formerly the Renewable Energy Officer at Dorset County Council and Senior Project Manager at the Centre for Sustainable Energy.  He has hosted regional seminars on renewable energy for farmers and had numerous articles on woodfuel published in Farmers’ Weekly.  For more information: www.crops4energy.co.uk

Who should attend
This course is intended for those within the farming and woodland sector who may wish to expand or diversify into the woodfuel market.

The course has been organised by The Silvanus Trust, working in association with Rural Development Initiatives, Duchy College and the South West Vocational Training Scheme.

Costs
Participants attending all 3 days and meeting the eligibility of the Vocational Training Scheme will be fully funded*, otherwise the full course fees are £300, including lunch, refreshments and Lantra registration.
