  • Ignite – Woodfuel Quality Standards Course

    If you produce firewood, woodchips or pellets as a fuel, or are considering using them as a fuel, this course is a must.  It introduces the latest standards for solid biofuels in use in the UK, provides the methodology for sampling fuel and covers quality assurance processes. The course involves a practical on how to sample fuel products accurately.

    RDI’s Northwoods Office is holding a free evening event to highlight grant opportunities available to the timber haulage sector.  The event will focus on support for Central Tyre Inflation (CTI) systems in the North East – with 40% grants currently available towards equipment and installation costs through the bioeNErgy scheme.

  • Bellingham Great Flood

    A centenary exhibition commemorating the Bellingham flood of 1911 will run between Friday 5th August and Thursday 15th September at the village’s Heritage Centre.

    Northumberland Community Flooding Partnership and Tyne Rivers Trust have contributed information boards for  the exhibition.
