Ancient Woodland Restoration Practical Demonstration and Workshop

November 3, 2014

Lime_coppice Organised by the Woodland Trust this is a practical demonstration event and workshop with a  guided site visit to ongoing restoration operations.  It will take place on Wednesday 19th  November from 9.30am to 3.00pm at Northern College and Bagger Wood, near Barnsley.  It is  a great learning and networking opportunity for owners and managers of ancient woodland,  particularly of sites where the native broadleaves have been replaced by non-native conifer  species.  The workshop will also be of interest to owners of ancient woodland that may have  problems with invasive species such as rhododendron, laurel or Himalayan balsam.

A  buffet lunch is included but pre-booking is essential.  The  booking form is here.  For further  details please contact Robin Ridley at robinridley@woodlandtrust.org.uk
