Consultancy RDI and its sister company, RDI Associates, offer a range of consultancy services to private and public sector clients on a wide range of rural development issues. We seek to provide a cost effective, flexible and innovative service, utilising our experience in managing projects to produce practical solutions and recommendations that will work in the context of a client’s business and not just on paper. Calling on both RDI staff and a wide range of associates we offer expertise in feasibility, market research, business planning and evaluation of areas such as biomass, skills and product development, timber transport and wildfire. Research RDI staff have a wide range of research experience and expertise, covering a variety of disciplines and techniques. We offer research work into topics covering biomass supply to livestock marketing and woodland management. Our recent portfolio of research related work includes the suite of Ravine WoodLIFE studies on behalf of English Nature, a native woodland opportunities plan for Nidderdale AONB, a study looking at improving red meat export to Scandinavia from the North East and a study looking at the impacts and marketing ability of venison in the East of England.
