RDI were commissioned by English regional development agency One NorthEast to research and produce a Strategic Investment Plan for the North East’s forestry sector. Anticipating the Rural Development Programme for England, the Plan set out a 3 year programme for investment in the sector valued at over one million pounds. RDI applied their excellent knowledge of the rural economy with an in-depth understanding of the issue facing tree and timber businesses to tailor a package of support measures and interventions that will have a lasting effect on the sector in the north east.
