RDI to speak at the ICF National Conference

Rural Development Initiatives has been invited to speak at the Institute of Chartered Foresters National Conference on the subject of biomass supply chains in the North East of England. The conference, ‘Forests and Energy - Maximising the Potential’ will take place on 28-29 April 2010 in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Sponsored by the Forestry Commission, Scottish Woodlands, UPM Tilhill, Lockhart Garratt and Forestry Journal, it will consider "how energy demand and renewables targets are set to change the way we manage our forests. From wind, water and biofuel, we have a new challenge to step up to – our ability as a profession to meet renewable energy demands. This important conference will help us understand what is required, how we can benefit, the other bio-energy source producers we’ll need to work with, and how can we make this next-generation forestry work".
