RDI Assisting County Council to Save 65 Tonnes of CO2

By turning to woodfuel to provide heat for a new flagship development at a school in Richmondshire, North Yorkshire County Council are to save 65 tonnes of CO2.   As part of the development NYCC have identified woodfuel to be the most feasible source of renewable energy for the school, and is looking to install a 250kW woodchip boiler.

RDI, through its Yorwoods office, is working with NYCC to look at possible delivery mechanisms, given the complexity of the site and constrains which will face any fuel supplier.  RDI will also be working with both NYCC and a local fuel supplier to set up any supply contracts, as well as working with the supplier to make sure he is equipped to supply the correct specification of chip to the boiler.
