North Yorkshire Woodfuel Project on You Tube

As part of a project funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government, Yorwoods Project Director Will Richardson has appeared on a video explaining how two small rural communities in North Yorkshire went about creating their own woodfuel resource.

The video, produced by the PlanLoCal project managed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy, is one of eight promotional films which look at various ways in which communities can adopt biomass systems and tells how residents of Spaunton and Appleton-le-Moors on the North York Moors have worked with a local landowner to manage a wooodland for woodfuel.
