Due to new funding contracts being secured at our Yorwoods office, we have taken on the following new members of staff to help with the expansion:
Carrick Armer - Project Officer
Carrick has joined Yorwoods as the project officer for the new Landskills training project. Carrick graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) in Environmental Energy Science from the University of Leeds in 2003. He has previously worked for the Cyprus Forestry Department (through the E.U. Leonardo da Vinci scheme) and the International Network for Environmental Management in Hamburg, Germany, as well as having spent three years working as a Data Analyst, Project Manager and Business Expert within the Utilities Industry.
Andy MacDermott - Assistant Project Officer
Andrew has joined Yorwoods as assistant project officer on the Woodfuel Infrastructure Programme. He is currently part-way through a degree in Environmental and Countryside Management at Harper Adams University College. Beginning his work in the sector as a National Trust Volunteer Warden, he then became Assistant Warden on a North Yorkshire Estate. This work involved primarily woodland management and a large amount of public communication and problem solving.
