Kate is back!

Kate Hutchinson has rejoined Rural Development Initiatives as a Projects Manager. Kate, who left RDI's Northwoods team for a move to London in 2007, will be based in London whilst working with other RDI staff across the UK on Projects including; the Wildfire 2009 conference (New Forest - June 2009), a biomass exhibition in the north-east and managing a number of the fire groups that RDI host on behalf of local  partnerships.

Martin Glynn, Director of RDI, said ‘We were sorry to loose Kate when she moved, so when RDI's client base extended into the South of England, the opportunity arose to bring her back into the company and we leapt at the chance. Kate’s skills and knowledge are of huge benefit to RDI and we are also delighted that we have a presence in the South to serve our clients there.’

Kate, who has an Msc in Rural Development and Resource Management from Newcastle University's Centre for Rural Economy, said ‘I loved working at Northwoods so when I was offered the opportunity to rejoin RDI I knew it was what I wanted to do. I’m really looking forward getting reacquainted with clients and projects from before, but also working in new areas and on different topics’.
