•    Parcelling timber for sale

Session 3 – Harvesting and Extraction

•    Motor manual
•    Mechanised
•    Extraction

Session 4 – Conversion

•    Seasoning
•    Logs
•    Chips
•    Price structures and economics of woodfuel production from small woodlands

Afternoon Sessions

The afternoon will be made up of practical site visits including in forest timber measurements. This will then be followed by a final exercise that will combine all of the days information.

Please bring stout footwear and a water proof coat with you as we will be spending time outdoors.

The course normally starts at 9.00a.m. and finishes by 5.00p.m. but you will be advised if the times differ for your course.
