Developed by foresters with practical hands on knowledge of woodland management and woodfuel production and supply, this course provides an introduction to managing woodlands for woodfuel production.  It provides an introduction to crop assessment and measurement and covers the methods of timber harvesting in use today.  It looks at the suitability of these for different woodland types and the economics of timber harvesting and the woodfuel production at the farm and estate level.  This course is accredited by Lantra Awards and leads to a certificate of attendance.

Cost: full cost, which includes all course material and refreshments is £175.00 (ex. VAT). However RDPE funding may be available subject to certain eligibility criteria.  If a trainee qualifies for the funded rate, the course will be invoiced at £52.50 (ex. VAT).
